Cover Letter to Prospective Diving Coaches
The Starz has initiated a state-wide open door policy with diving coaches who wish to attend Starz practices to learn more about diving.
This system will be established for any current or potential High School or Middle School diving coach who shows interest, and shows the initiative to arrange such attendance at a Starz practice by setting up an appointment with our Starz satellite coach will be empowered to arrange such appointments for coach
visitors to their training sessions at their discretion.
History dictates that there may not be many who take us up on this
offer; however, the “open door” policy has been established to meet the
following objectives:
To create a fellowship between High School / Middle School coaches and our club coaches. A fellowship that will help dissolve the stereotype that club coaches are elitists that look down on other programs.
To establish, through a greater fellowship of Indiana Diving Coaches, a more favorable perception of the majority of Indiana diving coaches about our program and our interests in helping coaches and divers at all levels of development in the sport of diving.
To improve community relations with neighboring towns that can potentially influence additional divers and coaches to join the Starz Diving Program – including additional enrollment in current satellite teams and potentially new satellite teams.
To better extend our influence over the coaching practices, judging practices, and overall performance of diving coaches in the State of Indiana thus, improving the performance standards on a State-Wide level that will inevitably challenge our divers to reach a higher level of greatness in the sport of diving.
To better expose our divers to the diving community, which may result in more favorable judging of our athletes by fellow involved Indiana Diving teams.
To offer a channel of communication and networking that will help further develop our diving community.
To better showcase the abilities and accomplishments of our Starz Diving Club coaching staff to the general diving community, which may promise additional opportunities for our coaches and athletes.
Philisophy
The Starz Diving Club is here to stay, and our influence on diving in Indiana will only grow. We may as well do everything we can to attain the support of the masses of diving coaches that will be judging our divers for years to come.
