Starz Diving Girls Win the 2006 Wendy Wyland Invitational

Starz Diving sent ten (10) of the Rising Starz divers to the Wendy Wyland Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, FL and returned with the girls team championship and the combined team runner-up honors.
This was a great event and showed again what the Starz Diving Club is capable of achieving. The Starz Diving girls outpaced runner-up U.S. Elite Diving Academy girls by 145.5 team points to take the top honors in a field of 16 teams. The boys team with only 2 representatives earned 4th place honors in a field of 13 teams.
Overall the Starz Combined team placed 2nd in the field of 18 teams getting edged out by U.S. Elite Diving Academy Combined team by 58.5 points. Mary Beth Dunnichay won all three of her events in the 12-13 age group leading the team that took 1st place in 8 different events. Each of our divers earned not less then a 7th place finish in at least one event.
