Starz and NTC athletes at Junior Nationals 07!

We've recently enjoyed an exceptional competitive season in the Starz Diving Club Family... not only did our athletes excel this year at the Future Champions Invitational... full results at https://secure.meetcontrol.com/divemeets/system/teampointresultsext.php?meetnum=230&language=
...but our top National Junior qualifiers earned their place honorably at this year's USA Diving Junior National Championships, hosted in Mission Viejo, CA. AMAZING RESULTS TO REPORT HERE!!!
Finishers include:
First Time Qualifier: Audrey Scott - Starz: Placing 16th place in a very successful competition on the 1m Springboard in the girls 13-under event
First Time Qualifier: Sarah Bacon - Starz: Qualifying in 2nd place in the Plat and 3m events to the finals, finished 5th on Plat, and 9th on 3m - as a 10 YEAR OLD IN THE 13-UNDER EVENT!
Amy Cozad - Starz: 16th place in the 3m event and an impressive 6th place in the Platform event!
Andrew Cramer - Starz: A professional and commanding 1st Place performance in the 13-under boys Platform event and a 7th Place finish in the 3m event.
Steel Johnson - NTC: A likewise professional and commanding 1st Place performance in the 13-under boys 3m event and a 3rd place finish in the Platform event - AS AN 11 YEAR OLD IN THE 13-UNDER EVENT!
Victoria Ishimatsu - NTC: A battle hardened 1st Place victory of experience and strife in the 3m and 1m Springboard events.
First Time Qualifyer: Mary Ann McCain - Unnattached: An impressive 4th Place finish on the 1m and 3rd Place finish on the 3m, as well as a 14th Place finish on the Platform.
Our heart goes out to Junior National Qualifiers Matthew Denkers - Rising Starz athlete with stress fracture in the back, Andrew Porten - Noblesville Starz athlete with ear, nose, and throat infection, and Lacey Houser - Rising Starz athlete with appendicitis diagnosed and operated on while at the East Championships - who were unable to represent the Starz at this year's Junior National Championships!
The Starz placed 9th at this competition, an honorable finish considering as always that our many of our top athletes have been accepted and are currently participating in the National Training Center, and are therefore ineligible to award the Starz with team points; also considering that some of the Starz qualified athletes were unable to attend. A great showing for the 4 individual Starz athletes who did attend!!!
SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO USA DIVING JUNIOR PAN AMERICAN GAMES QUALIFIERS:

All these athletes have earned a spot to represent the United States at the upcoming Junior Pan American Games by placing in top honors in their age group at the Junior National Championships!
