Indiana Divers Shake up the World Results at Canada Cup

Starz Families to help host the 2008 USA Diving Olympic Trials:

The best divers in the world, establishing their place in the world rankings in pursuit of the 2008 Olympic dream, have arrived in Canada this week to compete in the Canada Cup - International FINA Grand Prix Competition...

The USA, proudly represented by many of Indiana's own, has competed well, and broke into the medal arena in a few events!

Event highlights include:

USA IN THE MEDAL CIRCLE:

Thomas Finchum - NTC, Indianapolis - USA Silver Medalist in the Men's 10 Meter Platform Event: Just .35 points behind Champion Alexandre Despatie of Canada and 4.15 points in front of Luxin Zhou of China!!! David Boudia finished 5th in the competition.

David Boudia and Thomas Finchum - NTC, Indianapolis - USA Silver Medalists in the Men's 10 Meter Synchronized Platform Event behind the Chinese team.

Hayley Ishimatsu and Marybeth Dunnichay - NTC, Indianapolis - USA Bronze Medalists in the Women's 10 Meter Synchronized Platform Event behind the teams from China and Canada.

Chris Colwill - Bronze Medalist in the Men's 3m Springboard, behind Champion Alexandre Despatie of Canada and Yutong Luo of China!




Nancilea Foster - 4th Place Finisher in the Women's 3 Meter Springboard.

Kelsi Bryant - NTC, Indianapolis - 6th Place Finisher in the Women's 3 Meter Springboard.

Kelsi Bryant and Ariel Rittenhouse - NTC, Indianapolis - 6th Place Finishers in the Women's 3 Meter Synchronized Springboard.

Justin Wilcock and Burkley Showe - Justin of the NTC, Indianapolis - 8th Place Finishers in the Men's Synchronized 3 Meter Springboard.
