Kayla Purkiser Wins Double Gold

Starz Diving, while still young, already produces top ranked divers at all levels. From Age Group Championships to the World Championships Starz divers are showing up.
Kayla Purkiser, who trained with Mark Butcher and the Avon Starz, took control of the NJCAA Diving Championships winning both the 1 meter and 3 meter titles and posting records for both events. Purkiser’s 3 meter score of 511.40 raised the record score by 39.35 points and her 1 meter score of 460.60 broke the NJCAA record that had previously stood for 9 years.
Purkiser now dives for Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, FL for Coach Dave Suba. Indiana River is a NJCAA Swimming and Diving power house that regularly places divers on the podium at the National Championships.
