Pendleton edges out the NTC at first ever Starz Bowling Championships
Written By: Staff Writer

For those of you who missed it, what a great time at the first ever Starz Bowling Championships head at Pinheads in Fishers. After enjoying a great diving competition between cross town rivals Hamilton South Eastern and Fishers High School, the action moved out of the pool and onto the lanes where the Starz Divers and families battled it out.

The under 18 division was dominated by the Pendleton Starz where a heated battle took place between Alexandra Holloway and Ling Kuhn. The competition was fierce and went down to the final frame in both games. Just 7 points separated first and second place after 20 frames with Alexandra edging out Ling in the last half frame and third place being sealed by Alexandra’s brother.

In the adult division, Wingfield represented the National Training Center well after realizing it is all in the tools and stealing Rockhill’s (Pendleton Starz) bowling ball for the final 7 frames. As time literally ran out, Wingfield finished the final frames on a dark ally to finish in a close third after two games.

Rockhill took top honors in the adult division followed closing by Alexandra’s mother who put up a fierce fight. Who knew she had such a competitive spirit as she taunted Wingfield and Rockhill for the entire tourney. Ling’s father stayed in the battle giving Pendleton the three of the top four spots in the division.

Mark your calendars for next year and plan to defend your satellites bowling honor!
