KELCI BRYANT AND ARIEL RITTENHOUSE NAMED USOC TEAM OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER Written By:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. Olympic Committee has announced that Kelci Bryant and Ariel Rittenhouse have been selected as the USOC Team of the Month for November.
Bryant (Chatham, Ill.) and Rittenhouse (Santa Cruz, Calif.) won the gold medal in the women's synchronized 3-meter event at the FINA Grand Prix Super Final in Guadalajara, Mexico, on November 17. They scored 277.80 points to pick up their first international gold medal after winning silver medals at the World Cup and Canada Cup earlier in 2006.
Among the teams they defeated at the Super Final were 2006 World Cup champions Guo Jingjing and Li Ting of China.
The USOC honored figure skater Evan Lysacek and skeleton athlete Katie Uhlaender as its November Male and Female Athletes of the Month.
