The People Who Matter
Written By: coach

I have been fortunate in my life to have very supportive people surrounding me. I grew up in a very loving and encouraging family. I have had a large number of friends on whom I always know that I can rely. There are many people in this unforgiving country for which this is not the case. Many children grow up in an environment of neglect and must learn to rely upon only themselves as they mature. This should never be the case. If we as human beings take the time to show these unfortunate people that it is alright to trust, alright to feel, alright to lean on someone in times of need; then we can help in our own small way to make this world less callous and unfeeling, and more compassionate.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”- Edmund Burke

If you were to die tomorrow, could you look back at your life and say that you made a difference? Could you say that you helped to enrich the lives of your fellow human beings? Could you say that the relationships (platonic or romantic) in which you involved yourself were worthwhile and made you and the receiving parties better people? Would you look at the entirety of your life and regret that you didn‘t do enough to make this world better; or would you sit back, contented in the realization that you did everything in your power to make a positive impact on the people in your life? Everything you do has a ripple affect on someone or something. A kind word to someone down on their luck could possibly make the difference in their day.

DON'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE. TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR RELATIONSHIPS AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THERE IS NO FUTURE, THERE IS NO PAST, THERE IS ONLY THE HERE AND ONLY NOW.
