The Starz Diving Club is a youth diving organization that trains athletes at all levels in the sport of diving. The organization acts as a feeder system to the US National Training Center.
The Starz Program has produced Junior National, Senior National, and World Champions in the sport of diving. The club has also accrued athlete representation at the Olympic Trials finals.
The satellite teams that compose the Starz train at various facilities and at the Dryland Training Center west of the city. Always expanding, the Starz hopes to bring the sport of diving to Indiana communities in an exciting and affordable manner.
Your child has the incredible experience to dive with a competitive team under the direction of the National Training Center Coaching Staff.
Dive Safe Diving Lessons:
This is a lessons program designed to provide the student with the ability to have fun in a safe manner on various diving apparatus. This is a way for students to see what the sport is all about while learning the basic fundamentals of diving. This is a great way to get started with our organization.
Skill Level Team:
Our levels program is for students who are interested in training past the basic safe diving level. All of our athletes begin in the levels program and master each skill before moving on to the next level. The program is designed to teach the diver the fundamentals of diving and train their body to perform each skill. Our club host evaluation meets regularly for the divers to demonstrate their skill level and graduate to the next level. Once they are able to demonstrate predetermined skills, they may be invited to join a travel team.
Competition Travel Team:
Most of our satellite programs also field a competitive travel team. This is by invitation only once a diver has acheived a predetermined skill level. Each satellite competes together as a single competitive team when we travel to the Regional, National, and even International events. We also compete in various invitational meets which are chosen by the individual satellite coaches.
